The first edition of the Data Journalism School is a joint cooperation between Ahref Foundation and Istat, Italy's department of statistics, and aims at teaching students, journalists and public administration professionals how to efficiently apply data analysis and data journalism to their daily work. Strong focus will be given to Italian case studies and how to apply data journalism to the Italian situation. An introduction to the main tools used in the trade will be part of the practical workshops, while Elena Egawhary from the Centre for Investigative Journalism will explain how data journalism is currently being applied in the U.K.
The course offers twenty places and applications will open on 26 March, due date 30 April 2012.
