Event Description

Open to all working television journalists, broadcasters and editors from local and/or regional media from the 27 EU Member States plus Croatia the EPP/CoR Summer University will combine topic based learning sessions and visits to the European Commission’s TV studios and facilities. Join colleagues from local and regional television in the heart of Europe for a two-day introduction to the regional development and cohesion policies of the EU and share experiences of translating EU news into local stories for your audience back home. Some of the topics that will be addressed during the Summer University will look at developments in local TV and their relationships with the EU, what the shape of regional policy will be in the future and its relevance for the media and what support journalists need to be able to tell their story.
Costs relating to travel, accommodation and meals are covered by the Committee of the Regions upon written confirmation of your participation.
