opens the application process for

the II International Summer Media School

«Conscious Media. Ukraine on the Intersection of Cultures»

that will be held from 27th of June till 1st of July

in Rzhushchiv town, Kyiv region, Ukraine

Conscious Media School is a unique international project that teaches conscious and effective approaches towards journalistic work using the newest achievements in the media sphere and involves students into global media context.

The aim of the II School is to enlighten the unique nature of Ukrainian culture and its integrity with other world cultures by the series of journalistic articles with the help of search, study and translation process of the universal images-symbols.

How does the educations process look like?

A specially developed by the conscious media professionals method is concentrated on the maximal learning outcome. Interactive lectures of Conscious media professionals are accompanied with the practical tasks supported by the tutors who are specialist in particular kinds of media. All the participants will become a part of multi-media field team. The aim of the team will be to enlighten the multicultural dialogue issue during the “Trypilske kolo” International festival. Depending on the field of your proficiency you will be allowed to choose one of the following groups that will be working under the supervision of well-experienced journalists from the following kinds of media:

- Press and internet journalism;

- Video journalism;

- Photo-journalism;

- Radio-journalism;

- Theater media.

Articles that you will be creating will be published with the help of internet on different partner web-portals, newspapers, journals, radio-stations, TV-channels every day.

What you will achieve after the completion of the Summer School?

Unique professional skills and knowledge, in particular:
Informational “surfing” skill in the multicultural informational context;
Complex phenomena and processes analytical skills;
Basics of system thinking;
Understanding of main cultural, historical, ecological and social processes at the global scale;
Explaining complicated things in the understandable way;
Connecting different types of media to solve the problem;
Cooperation and communication with the art people, media and NGOs;
To establish intercultural media-communications;

And the most important – you will learn how to be a conscious journalist!

After the completion of the course all the participants will get a certificate.
