I'm not really into "Hi, my name is..." type of introductions and so it's quite weird to write one.

Anyway, my name is Marge and I'm a business reporter from Estonia, in its biggest news portal Delfi. I've been a reporter for four years, specialized on business (quite accidentally) two years ago.

Why I joined? Partially because I want to see, how others in my area think and work, to get and give some new ideas and perhaps develop relations that could be fun and useful over times. And I am also looking for some sort of new point of view for I'm quite restless at the moment. :)

Looking forward to talking to you.

Marge

We want to show the world that journalists aren't part of conflicts, but we…See More

Criminalization of defamation: 'press freedom' or judicial integrity?

In a web search for defamation, one sees various articles mentioning the criminalization of defamation: in a variety of countries, such as eastern European or Russian countries, or Zimbabwe. Various human rights organizations or NGOs are reported to have signed protests against recent attempts to re-introduce criminal defamation into law in some of them.
