Hello Saadia - as a new pensioner at 58 I thought I could earn some extra money doing what I like most. I dont know if I will succeed but enjoy the process anyway.

I dont know how to use this site very well but you can visit my blog for a better taste of Greece at the moment...

Hi Katy, first of all, never give up because you never know what's around the corner. And keep getting your articles published, even for free, so you can build a profile as a journalist.Apply to newspapers as a freelancer, they usually pay per word and outsourcing is more appealing now that budgets for fulltime salaries are tighter.

I also suggest you contact PR agencies which have publications like magazines and newsletters, they often have good budgets for writers. This is more often for feature articles, not news, though.
