I was asked to write a few words about myself so there we go: English teacher according to my degree and aspiring journalist by inclination. I have had several pieces published but was never paid for one. Anyone who can supply ideas for a paid job? It is becoming quite a rare asset these days.
My interest is international news but also like to inform people about what is hapenning in Greece in reality.

Hello Saadia - as a new pensioner at 58 I thought I could earn some extra money doing what I like most. I dont know if I will succeed but enjoy the process anyway.
I dont know how to use this site very well but you can visit my blog for a better taste of Greece at the moment...

And keep getting your articles published, even for free, so you can build a profile as a journalist.Apply to newspapers as a freelancer, they usually pay per word and outsourcing is more appealing now that budgets for fulltime salaries are tighter.
I also suggest you contact PR agencies which have publications like magazines and newsletters, they often have good budgets for writers. This is more often for feature articles, not news, though.
Good luck!
