Diversity Day, May 21th, 2012 - Help me to Spread Awareness for our Great Multicultural World!
Dear All,
Sometimes, we seem to run out of imagination and wonder what can we do, or write about....? If this is your case and if you really want to make a difference, here is one of the things you can do, for you and me and for the world cultural heritage: write about diversity, in all its forms, cultural, linguistics, political, environmental, geographic, flora, fauna, whatever you want, but help me to promote diversity, respect our differences, and educate the next for the need to learn and understand that diversity is our greatest fortune in this planet!
To start with and to celebrate diversity all over the world, I would like to request all of you to go outside with your cameras and picture DIVERSITY, wherever you are, whatever you find it in you city, in your country, at school, ads in the newspapers searching for foreigners, people that speak different languages, typical food, a Chinese restaurant in Slovenia or Latvia, a German bakery in Brazil, a Brazilian restaurant in Holland, refugees in Austria, etc.
For a change, you could also watch another country's TV channels, listen to world music, try a different outfit...it might be fun and even cool as my son would say it...You can also visit a museum, photograph an specific building, with foreign characteristics or inspiration.
Please send the pictures to my email vandecraatsuk@gmail.com and I will make a nice video-clip or slide for the EJC community. I also would like to ask you all to write an article about Diversity and what do you think of it, so we can publish the articles here in our MEDIA MUNDO, Tourism and Journalism, etc.
Above all, say hello to a foreigner, show interest for their cultures, cook a different receipe today. Just to help you out and give you some ideas about DIVERSITY have a look at these UNESCO videos:

Link to Diversity
Thanks for those of you who sent me an email with questions regarding how long the project will take. Initially I plan to run the project until the 21th of June but our commitment with Diversity will never stop. You can also make it your special focus at work and I'm sure you are going to become a better professional when you strive to promote diversity in your work and keep your eyes open for inclusion. We all gain with it. I would certainly appreciate if you can put a link to our project on your website and if, on the other hand you send me the link to your interviews, articles regarding the issue, to be posted in our websites as well.
