I can name already two Editorial tweeters in Russia, in Russian: RIA Novosti (launched yesterday), Lenta.ru .

The tweets reflect on the internal dealings and issues with the news, reporters and newsmakers.

Would be interesting to hear of such Editorial tweeters, collective not personal, in your media.

Hi

I am looking into that topic and planning to publish an article about it, keep checking the EJC magazine website. I have translated one of the sites you mentioned above, but I must say that their tweets are not informative at all and not interesting to follow for anyone internationally. It looks more like an internal communication platform the way they use it...

There are tweets from pretty much every big newspaper / news agency, etc. Reuters, NYT, BBC news... Just search for them on Twitter and follow them, keeps you up to date!

Can you tell me more about your idea of an editorial tweet?

Hi Mirjam,

Many thanks for your comments. The Editorial tweets I wrote about do not seem to fit into any category and are a mix of news agenda + editorial angle + some communication to the reader or professional user, often in a cynical way. Journos have to be cynics in this crazy world.

BTW, a regular newsfeed Twitter of RIA Novosti in English is here.

Brgs,

Valery

Thanks!

I will check it out since it seems to be an interesting topic to write about on our magazine page. If you have more examples, please get in touch. You can also write me an e-mail, send me a message via the community and then I can give you my e-mail.

Would be interesting to follow up on this. Would you be ready to give me an interview on this development? Via phone or mail? That would be great

Cheers

Mirjam

Sign Language in Media, Communication & Journalism

If in Journalism, Media and Communication in general, one deals with freedom of expression, one has to be accessible to all and able to understand and communicate in all languages. Sign language is one of them and it is not only the language of the hearing impaired, it is a minority language of many people in every society of the world. It is also an important way to communicate in some of our world's societies as part of their culture.Although it is very important and for many people the only…See More
