Hi everybody, I was wondering if you could help me find some ideas about what are the most iconic pictures of 2012 so far.

I would like to create a slideshow on the community to document the events that had the biggest impact in the world and I would love it to be an open and collaborative project all of you could take part in.

At the moment I came up with some suggestions, see below, but please feel free to add more examples in the comments thread or contact me personally.

I am interested in knowing which pictures/facts you associate to 2012 without looking it up on the Internet...a kind of collective memory test if you want :)

Looking forward to your help!

Hi!

Don't forget this one

Hi Desiree, thanks a lot, that is surely one of the (unfortunately) most important moment of the year. I remember seeing even a worst one about a similar event...this policeman pepper sprayed a girl straight in the mouth, which caused her to be uncontrollably sick and being taken to hospital. Here is the pic, thanks for bringing it to my mind.

Don't forget the speculation that 2012 is the end of the world!

...will the 21st of December 2012 be the end of the world as we know it? I sure hope not :)

Hi Claudia,

If I close my eyes and try to find a picture that defines 2012, it brings me back to the protests against ACTA in February, and everything regarding ACTA. Here are some links:

The Rapporteur quits ACTA, saying: 'I will not take part in this masquerade,' says Kader Arif

thanks for the suggestions, I tried to access the links but my pc is quite slow today and crashed..if you manage to add them in a post that would be nice too :)
