A New Era for Arab-West Relations ? Really ? Apparently, the Western news coverage of the Arab world is not quite optimum yet...

What do you think?

I always feel that there is a big gap between these two worlds. Somehow, i feel that the main idea here is that they never ever clearly "spoke" or made an effort to understand each other. (When i say each other, i mean the two different worlds).
The world is becoming smaller and smaller each day by, but somehow The Western side of it seems to have a problem with Islam, and here is where the true problem is: RELIGION!

We need to be more open minded with the Arab World, and mostly more understanding about their culture and rituals. It is about time to seriously consider a "new era" regarding the delicate relations of west-and-arab. What did the "Americans" get for killing the Indians? Nothing! It is better to say that the whole world lost a culture, a history, a race! Why than we need to portrait these old cultures as "bad" just because they don't fit our daily routine?!
Who says that being a western is a better idea? Look at Japan, they have been worried so much with catching the WEST, that they have lost so much of their background. It is hard to get a touch of old Japan in Japan nowadays, you need to go very deep in the country to do so. Why is that? Because the WEST has proclaimed themselves as the better side of world. Well, i don't think it is necessary so.
For as long that we do not try to understand the arabs, or any other country for this matter, there will always be gap in between the two sides. A big gap that journalists have to fill in, but sometimes they do more harm than good...
