Aspiring journalists from diverse backgrounds for a yearlong fellowship in New York.

Journalists selected for the newly launched ABC News Fellowship Program will work with several broadcasts, departments and platforms while mastering the editorial, production, newsgathering and on-air reporting skills essential to broadcast journalism.

Fellows will develop news stories, work in the field and in the studio on broadcast production, write news stories, shoot and edit video and refine research skills under the mentorship of an industry leading professional.

Preferred qualifications include at least two years of journalism experience, a proven interest in broadcast, Spanish proficiency and shooting/editing experience.

Participants from a variety of racial, ethnic, socio-economic and geographic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The fellowship will begin July 2.
