Gulf News is looking to appoint a Bilingual Business editor to lead its editorial Business team in a highly competitive environment.

This position needs an experienced editor with excellent news judgment, editing abilities and the capability to drive content that maintains the news organisation’s market leadership.

Applicants must exhibit a track record of being ahead of the curve with breaking news coverage, enterprise reporting and sound/ethical journalistic skills.

The winning candidate will have: 

• 7 years in journalism and 3 years in similar position.
• Excellent written and verbal English and Arabic skills.
• Excellent  interpersonal skills and ability to mentor, motivate and manage.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to coach and  mentor to ensure quality of content production from all direct reports.
• Being up to date and well aware of local and regional media competition and being on top of the news agenda.
