Greenpeace are looking for an experienced communications professional to lead their sustainable agriculture communications, based out of their international centre in Amsterdam.

The ideal candidate will have the following abilities & experience (in addition to the standard Communications Manager job spec):

• Good knowledge of food, sustainable agriculture issues (or a strong desire & ability to learn quickly), including opinions on how agricultural issues are being reported by the media and discussed by the public. • Strong communications, PR or media relations experience combined with good working knowledge of web/social media and overall creative communications development. • The ability to think and work at a global level. Professional experience in Asia would be preferable. • The ability to define & segment audiences – developing messages that are appropriate to political decision makers, corporate stakeholders, scientific and public audiences respectively.

The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate an innovative and effective approach to communications.
