The alumni magazine of the University of Oxford, Oxford Today, is looking to recruit a part-time freelance Web Editor to take forward and expand its web presence.

Published twice a year in print, Oxford Today informs, educates and entertains its international readership about the University, its work on the world stage, and its alumni - past and present.

In this role of part-time Freelance Web Editor, you will need to become immersed in University life, and help the editor in generating and repurposing content ideas for the website. Working for 5 days per month, mainly in Oxford with some travel to Future Publishing's London office, you'll ensure that you help the University maintain a flow of current, accessible content to a diverse audience, principally but not exclusively old members of the University.

The Oxford Today website also needs to function fluently within the wider context of the main University website and the adjacent alumni relations website, meaning that you'll need to be able to work independently or in a team as required.

Experienced, resourceful, with creative flair and sound editorial judgement, you will also have a proven track record of web content editing and writing. Educated to degree level, an understanding of content management systems and HTML is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must, as are intellectual rigour, self-motivation and sound experience of process management.
