The Interview Desk Editor is responsible for researching, finding and delivering guest interviews for Sky News Arabia. You will work closely with the Director of Output, chief sub editors, news producer and executive producers, attending the key editorial meetings and overseeing a team of Guest/Interviews Producers. You will maintain both your own contacts and be responsible for maintaining and improving Sky News Arabia's contacts database. You will offer up guests on your own initiative, and also deliver them according to the specifications of individual production teams.

Exclusive interviews make news and the Interviews/Guest producer will be expected to endeavour to ensure that the mix of guests that appear on Sky News Arabia does not become formulaic.

Key Skills, Experience and Educational:

Experience in television news, including television news production in an editorial leadership role.
BA degree in journalism, media or communication studies is preferred.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team of subordinates and superiors.
An excellent contacts book and proven experience of delivering guests or exclusive interviews.
An inquisitive mind, good telephone manner and ability to convince guests to appear.
Capable of creatively developing interviews that will inform, enlighten, and entertain audiences.
Must be capable of working long hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Extensive experience working on both editorial and as a producer in the field is a necessity.
Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic with good English.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in television news channels.
