We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Managing Editor to work on ELT materials for our highly successful Spanish primary list. We have a global reputation for the high quality of our Spanish primary publishing with courses like Bugs, Find Out and Quest.

Working closely with the Commissioning Editor the Managing Editor will brief authors and freelancers and work with authors on the content development of manuscripts. The Managing Editor will also have day-to-day responsibility for the management of titles from approved manuscript through to publication. This role will involve liaison with marketing, editorial, design and production colleagues in Spain and the UK to ensure that titles are delivered on time, to brief and within budget.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent team-working and organisational skills, and be able to demonstrate: 

·       experience of working on ELT text and digital materials

·       experience of managing multiple components through the editorial process

·       initiative and the ability to work autonomously

·       an ability to work to deadlines

·       first-class communication skills

·       EFL teaching experience with a recognised qualification

·       an excellent command of English

·       a good level of Spanish is desirable

 Knowledge of the Spanish ELT market would also be desirable.
