As Media Analyst for Iran, you will promote understanding of media sources and the media environment in Iran, and provide insight into the use of traditional and new media there, by producing analyses, features, background briefings and media guides. You will act as a point of reference with regard to the Iranian media and speak on behalf of BBC Monitoring in public and other forums and in broadcast outlets. You will be expected to anticipate developments related to Iran and the Iranian media, and to contribute to forward planning of key monitoring events. The salary for this role will be £30,993pa.
You will contribute to the mission of BBC Monitoring to observe, understand and explain global open source for the UK, by providing insight for customers on the media and the government and politics of Iran. You will work collaboratively, to devise and produce complex specialist and analytical products which contribute to the delivery of a consistent and reliable service of news, information and insight. You will also ensure that complex specialist and analytical output meets BBC Monitoring’s purpose,stakeholder requirements and BBC editorial standards.
