Reuters is seeking a team of online news editors to manage the homepage, business, technology, politics, world news, and US news channels for Reuters’ fast-growing web site and mobile device platforms as Reuters Digital bolsters its coverage and display of news and commentary worldwide.

Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities include managing the Reuters.com’s sector news channels by selecting top stories, writing compelling headlines and article summaries, as well as selecting photography, video, and opinion columns. The job will also entail a heavy load of curating from the rest of the world, seeking out the smartest coverage and dialogue from outside of Reuters’ walls. Editors will also be responsible for the creation and aggregation of topic pages on trending topics of interest to sophisticated news consumers.


Required Skills:

At least 4 years journalism experience, preferably online
Familiarity with social media tools and a strong social presence preferred
Excellent writing and editing skills
An ability to think and work across a multimedia platform
Must be able to work effectively with a variety of teams across the world
