Job Summary

The Chief Photojournalist is responsible for coaching, counseling, mentoring and training the Photojournalist and Editor Team while at the same time performing all of the normal duties of a Photojournalist. Photojournalists must cover news agressively, with integrity, accuracy and credibility. Photojournalists must perform all daily duties with a sense of urgency and timeliness, understanding that there are tight daily deadlines. Photojournalists must demonstrate sound journalistic abilities as they will be required to cover stories without the presence of a Reporter. Photojournalists are responsible for driving station vehicles (including live trucks) to news events, shooting video and audio, editing, and operating the live truck for feeds and live shots. Photojournalists must remain aware of new and emerging technologies and methods, and must demonstrate the self-initiative to stay up to date with these technologies and methods. Other duties as deemed necessary
