We are looking for a dynamic producer to develop, cultivate and build sources to break news on Capitol Hill. As a Fox beat producer this individual will be responsible for driving our coverage on Capitol Hill. You will be in charge of assessing daily events for news value, pitching future coverage plans and working with individuals throughout the network to answer questions and communicate information. We are looking for a self-starter who works independently but is able to prosper in a team environment. Extensive knowledge of Congress, the political arena and the political process are required.

Strong writing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Candidates will be required to work on obtaining interviews for live shots and daily packages on Special Report w/Bret Baier. Candidates will also be required to write stories for Fox’s AEHQ blog and Foxnews.com. Candidates must be willing and able to travel as news warrants.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of broadcast experience
• Strong editorial judgment as well as strong logistical skills
• Knowledge/Experience covering U.S. Congress
• Knowledge of national politics and the DC area
• The ability to work well in a fast paced and intense atmosphere
• Familiarity with iNews
• Flexibility to work various shifts when needed
• Motivated, self-starter who is able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize is a necessity
