From covering breaking news, sport, arts, business, features and challenging decision makers to discussing the issues that affect the daily lives of Africans, our daily programmes are delivered across a range of platforms.

Role

Based in Johannesburg, you’ll be working with a team of correspondents, producers and technical staff, working around Southern Africa. You’ll provide specialist and general coverage of events and trends in the region for BBC Afrique, the wider BBC Africa team and other BBC outlets. As our Reporter, you’ll originate and select stories and prepare programme material for broadcast. Working closely with Duty Editors, Editors and Producers in Africa and in London, you’ll offer ideas and guidance and contribute to the wider BBC outlet.
