Main Purpose of the Social Media Manager:
The main purpose of the successful Social Media Manager is to improve and develop the social media presence for the business. Reporting to the Head of Digital Media, the Social Media Manager will take an active responsibility for outlining the strategy and output for the social media channel, concentrating specifically on the brand’s Facebook and Twitter channels. The successful Social Media Manager will also play a pivotal role in identifying the gaps and opportunities that exist in the channel and make strong recommendations on how the company can improve its output versus the main competitive set.

Key Responsibilities of the Social Media Manager:

  • Develop and influence the direction of social media strategy.  Take active responsibility for the look, feel and development of the company’s Twitter and Facebook channels

  • Manage day-to-day social media campaigns involving competition ideas, opinion polls, editorial content and all blog and posting activity
  • Demonstrate creativity and forward thinking and plan activity around major sporting events and high profile TV and entertainment vehicles
  • Ensure the company regularly ‘tweets’ and posts all relevant and topical updates relating to the above areas of sport and entertainment
  • Develop a strong relationship with the firms Trading Department in an attempt to gain a regular stream of betting related news and content
  • Proactively monitor and respond to questions and comments from the vast Gaming community friends and follower base
  • Continually monitor the online gaming companies competitor base and use this information to develop and benchmark the brand’s social media output
  • Help develop a process that sees the social media presence become a 24/7 customer engagement channel
  • Work closely with the SEO, online marketing and affiliate marketing teams to help co-ordinate all integrated online output


Skills, Knowledge and Experience required for the Social Media Manager:

  • Proven experience within the social media space
  • Proven experience within a leading online betting or sports focused company
  • In depth knowledge of Sportsbook, Casino games, Poker and all other online products
  • Strong editorial and verbal skills
  • Ability to work flexible working patterns to meet the needs of the business
  • Ability to continually improve and enhance the company’s social media output
