The European University Institute is Offering a Paid Traineeship

The European University Institute (EUI) is offering a 12 month, full time (Mon. - Fri.) paid traineeship in Florence, Italy to graduated journalism students. The student must have graduated from a Journalism University program and have proven work experience in the field (min. 6 month internship). 

Benefits:

  • Maintenance grants of EUR 1200 per month
  • A 40% discount in the EUI canteen
  • Travel cost reimbursement for the arrival trip to Italy and the final return trip home. 

Qualifications Required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in English (attested by an international diploma) and good knowledge of a second EU language. 
  • Computing skills (excellent use of Microsoft Office)
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in an international team

Daily Tasks:

  • Write and report on EUI academic activities and EUI special events.
  • Proactively and reactively liaising with journalists online and print.
  • Develop online media content.
  • Online contacts with newspapers, Think Tank, Blog, Online News, Specialised Freelance
  • Monitor the international media
