Times Community News, North, has a rare opening in their Features department. TCN North is a collection of four newspapers in Los Angeles County: Glendale News-Press, Burbank Leader, La Cañada Valley Sun and the Pasadena Sun. They also produce two separate Sunday editions, the Sunday Valley Sun and the Sunday News-Press & Leader. 

Their ideal candidate has a range of talents. They must be interested and engaged in the lower-level community happenings, but also desire to seek out the new, the trendy and the hip. As much of the writing is done either by freelancers, they must be incredibly well organized, and be able to stick to a budget. They need to write as well as line edit, and be a stickler for deadlines. Web skills, particularly social networking, are also vital. Though not necessary, page design skills are very much welcome.
