Hello fellow job searchers, here's another posting coming your way!

Media recruitment agency, PFJ are seeking writers!

The Role

The role of these Writers will be split between three main responsibilities:

1. To adapt centrally produced content from English into the market language. This requires strong English understanding and good translation/adaptation skills

2. To create content for the market to support local efforts, campaigns and events. This requires excellent writing and reporting skills, as well as a strong collaboration mindset.

3. To engage as part of a broader team with social media by creating or adapting content for this medium. This requires good conversational skills and the ability to convey messages crisply and succinctly on behalf of the brand.

The writing team will be geared to delivering content for a wide variety of audiences, and this requires the ability to cover product, corporate and consumer-focused messaging. Outputs will include writing traditional press releases, pitch support documents for market PR teams, fact sheets, web content and other supporting assets. Although this is an internal news operation, great reporting and writing skills are at its heart, and they are looking for a team of writers who can deliver this for them.

The Company

This major global automaker is creating a unique internal news operation in Europe. They have filled their UK roles and are now looking to recruit Writers in their Rome, Madrid, Paris and Moscow offices. This multi-faceted editorial operation will support its broad European communications efforts, playing a huge role in helping the company tell its story to a wide variety of audiences through print, video, web and social media channels.

Your Profile

The ideal Writer will have the following traits and skills:

  • Proven journalistic reporting and writing capability, ideally including automotive experience
  • Experience from new media outlets, such as automotive websites and blogs is also helpful
  • Interest in cars and the automotive industry is essential
  • Strong English knowledge and translation/adaptation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams effectively is important
  • Efficiency and the ability to create clean copy quickly is essential in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual team environment is helpful
  • Creativity, and the proven ability to gear written materials to consumer audiences is a major plus

As the roles will be based in the Rome, Madrid, Paris or Moscow offices it would be ideal if the Writer was living in the corresponding country. The minimum expectation is that the Writer will be fluent in both English and the corresponding language.

Good luck job hunting everyone!

Cheers!
