Do you write/edit/record video/audio reports for news stories in any language using electronic news-gathering equipment?

Join World News On Demand (WNOD)

Breaking new ground and breaking with the models of traditional content-providers World News On Demand will allow at no cost to you access to a global marketplace of media outlets across all platforms and in all media formats.

Crucially, where you would previously be obliged to sell the rights to your material wholesale to a single outlet, the WNOD model allows you to keep the rights to your material and sell it over and over again to as many outlets as can be reached. You no longer have to be paid just once for your valuable contribution and, as an added bonus, you have a potential long-term revenue stream from the same piece of content which otherwise would generate lucrative archive fees for the company you had been obliged to sell it to.

The return to your contribution is based on WNOD’s “Unified Shared Media Portal” (USMP). USMP is a 70/30 shared-revenue business-model structure where the contributed content entitles producers to a 70 percent “Life-Royalty- Residual” (LRR) of material sold and archived. This system ensure content providers can continue to earn well-deserved rewards for the work they create long after the initial purchase by media outlets worldwide via WNOD™.

Registration with WNOD is free and offers the opportunity to start uploading your material and generating revenues the same day. Your new material, as well as any archive material for which you still have the rights, can start generating an income almost immediately.

The WNOD model combines ease, speed, clarity and access to a global marketplace to ensure you reap the rewards of your hard work and creativity as much as possible.

This is a great platform for the freelance journalists to get the opportunities of working with international organizations. I also appreciate the efforts of Mirjam Teresa Moll who are sharing the jobs with the members.

Calls for Applications for Diplo IG foundation courses: registratio...

Dear All

DiploFoundation’s 2011 foundation courses in Internet Governance and ICT are now open for applications.

A call for applications for Diplo's ACP Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Internet Governance (IG) Capacity Development Programme Foundation Course has been issued to all government and sub-regional/regional institutions of ACP countries involved in ICT and IG policy as well as civil society, business, academia, media, and other interested individuals or groups.

This 12-week online course is designed to improve ICT- and IG-related knowledge and skills for participants mainly from ACP countries and to assist them in participating in global decision-shaping debates on IG. The programme also facilitates community-building among individuals with different national, cultural, and professional backgrounds.

Complete information is available here, and is also available in the attached .pdf file IGICT4ACP11 Call for Applications. More information about the ACP Programme is available on Diplo's ACP website.

In a parallel programme for applicants from non-ACP countries, DiploFoundation is currently accepting applications for the 2011 Internet Governance Capacity Building Programme (IGCBP11) Foundation Course.

Complete information is available here, and is available in the attached .pdf file IGCBP11 Call for Applications. Visit Diplo's Internet governance website for more information about the IG programme.

Applications for both courses close on 12 February 2011.
