On behalf of the European Commission, the European Journalism Centre will organise a seminar on "Eco-Innovation" on 15 December, 2011.

Held in Brussels for 15 EU journalists, the event will provide the opportunity for an exclusive meeting with Janez Potočnik, the European Commissioner for the Environment, as well as for meetings with other high level EU experts. The programme also envisages visits to environmentally beneficial, innovative and economically viable projects which already now create growth and jobs in Europe.

This one-day tailor-made seminar on eco-innovation will debate the potential of simultaneously addressing the economic and environmental challenges of Europe through new environmentally-friendly solutions.

Journalists from EU national print, broadcast and online media are invited to apply before 1st December, 2011.

The organisers will cover the costs of travel, accommodation and meals for the duration of the programme.
