It aims to facilitate a dialogue with journalists covering the  business of hospitality, transport, and creating a link with the community and experts in this diverse and growing international industry. We, Media people are always travelling and it might help us to expand our horizons and get interesting links to exciting news, tips and tricks of how to get the best touristic deals, while combining work and leisure. Hi Everyone,


I am looking forward for the members of our community to join us here at Tourism and Journalism and especially to send links to websites and organizations that offer disccounts for journalists and other Media professionals as well as for students.

I am placing a here an info, that a colleageu has sent to me but  I could not be able to get a reply from the right people yet. I hope, you guys in Brussels, would be able to investigate and tell us what can we do to be able to join the benefits here below:

"Journalists travel free in 2nd class and benefit from a 75%* reduction in 1st class.

Professional journalists and trainee professional journalists travel free in 2nd class and benefit from a 75%* reduction in 1st class on presentation of the journalist card with code 043.

Personnel of the General Association of Professional Journalists of Belgium (AGJPB/AVBB) as well as personnel of the International Federation of Journalists with the Belgian headquarters and media directorates travel free and benefit from a 75%* discount in 1st class on presentation of the journalist card with code 050.

about Tourism and Journalism in Italy there are some discounts but to have them you need to contact the national association and present your press card. In order to help you,  my collegues, for the EXPO 2015 which will be held in Italy I will inform you stp by step if there are more opportunities  in the future to come to Italy and save money and partecipate to important events!
