Time for change

The Fresh Outlook is for impartial, independent and straightforward
coverage and analysis of news, sports, entertainment and success stories.
We will soon introduce global sections.

We are also growing a worldwide network of up and coming as well as established journalists to report news from their country direct to The Fresh Outlook. This enables individuals to help shape the news agenda, and also challenge, or confirm, how news about their country is reported by overseas media. Please see http://www.thefreshoutlook.com/newsnetwork

Why do all this?

The newspaper is part of not-for-profit organisation, FreshTies, which has a global mission of everyone can have a decent life. One key tool in this mission is the growth of a constructive media globally, which can inform us about the whole range of human experience. Constructive coverage of people and issues - and also good news –provides us all with a more balanced view of life. People will always disagree on issues, but they can understand why.

Also, all the newspaper revenues fund grassroots community projects in the UK for now, and then worldwide.

Peace and Journalism

Here, journalists and media reporters, editors and broadcasters choose to report only relevant stories that focus on non-violent responses, innovative ideas and minds that search for a better world, and welcome only the positive insights. We refuse to cover hatred but allow those that choose for a constructive dialogue. If there is a conflict we look for the causes, and we write about actors which try to find solutions. We want to show the world that journalists aren't part of conflicts, but we…See More

Criminalization of defamation: 'press freedom' or judicial integrity?

Various human rights organizations or NGOs are reported to have signed protests against recent attempts to re-introduce criminal defamation into law in some of them. It is often argued as an attack on press freedom. The European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) does not apparently support criminalization of…See More
