U-turn by Fitch on Zambia’s economic outlook an important sign.

U-turn by Fitch on Zambia’s economic outlook an important sign. The negative rating of Zambia’s economic outlook by a rating agency Fitch should not be a shock. Zambia’s economy presently is in its worst tailspin ever and this is the reason why it has dominated public attention and provoked realms of discourse, reflection and writing. It’s unbelievable that from the eyes of the political gangs and ruling class in Zambia things seem rosy and calm when in actual sense heterodox economists,…See More

Africa hangs on a string about to snap

Africa is a continent that has both risen and fallen due to its attachments to developed nations. Today economies in Africa may not have been well if not for financial and material aid once offered by the developed world. But in recent times economies are struggling, crumbling and gasping for breath to survive by aid. What is happening in Europe especially in Greece should be an alarm to countries in Africa dependent on aid that alternatives for their survival must be put in place now. Eurozone…See More

Stories eagerly followed in Indonesia revealed pilots have been using drugs when flying passenger planes. I was stunned. The nature of this shocking news starts a chain of things pilots do that we don’t know. This is a danger to passengers as well as reputations of airlines. Confine this not only to Indonesia because pilots are everywhere. This nasty behavior by…See More
