Tell us a little bit about yourself
I have been teaching journalism, web-journalism and communication at a graduate and undergraduate level since 1999 at an American university in Athens and working as a professional journalist for over twenty years. I hold a PhD in Journalism and MA in Communications Policy from City University (London), and a BA in Economics from the University of Piraeus (Greece). I have launched an iBook titled Crisis Talk; Greece (2012) and co-authored a book on Digital Communication (2000, Zenon Publishing, London) and have worked in newspapers and magazines as well as in political strategy and campaigning. In the last four years, in parallel with teaching, I have created dailyGreece.net, a Private Information Network for foreign nationals living in Greece, PostNews.eu, an op-ed blog-site and four months ago I launched AlYunaniya.com, a news site on Greece and the Arab World. All ventures are completely web-centric in terms of operation and management, allowing me to function on a flexible working mode.
