The Social Data Platform

The Socrata Social Data Platform hosts data sites for many government organizations, such as the US Medicare agency and the City of Seattle. The platform also allows anyone to upload and share data sets for free. This data can be viewed on our website, or in an embeddable social data player (for blogs or websites). The Social Data Player allows readers to examine data at the source, and create visualizations such as maps and charts.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about Data in Journalism, Open Data, Open Government, Civic Apps & Developers or have a question about how to use our platform.
