Civilizations Complement One Another, Fear Cannot become our Religion!

Disclaim: This article shows one of Charlie Hebdo's interview to Views of the World and other controversial issues which I would not recommend to people that might be sensitive or intolerant to freedom of expression other than their own religious views as expressed in videos and other sources here mentioned.…See More

Peace and Journalism

Here, journalists and media reporters, editors and broadcasters choose to report only relevant stories that focus on non-violent responses, innovative ideas and minds that search for a better world, and welcome only the positive insights. We refuse to cover hatred but allow those that choose for a constructive dialogue. If there is a conflict we look for the causes, and we write about actors which try to find solutions. We want to show the world that journalists aren't part of conflicts, but we…See More

Whatever the Language - Meet the People that Matter, Face to Face!

Due to some of my activities such as  teaching and translation, and of course my personal choice of living in foreign countries and dealing with people from different backgrounds at home or elsewhere, I'm used to thinking in multiple languages and when I need to switch from one language to the other, I feel that I need to…See More

The Protection of Children Is not Only a Parental, but Social and Governmental Responsibility

One is happy to see that Google is reminding us of the Universal Children's Day as one can see here below from the famous Google Doodle. Yet, one has to focus on the UN Resolution 836 (IX) and which are the fundamental values of that resolution which has to be observed not only by parents, teachers, governments but by entire societies. Therefore, also children that are stateless or living in war areas, have those rights and are entitled to protection of the locals and the international…See More

DISCUSSION: Can the Media Afford to Publish the Wrong Headlines?

Yesterday (11.18.2014) there was a deadly attack on a synagogue in Israel, but the Media, which has been very biased lately, and to be more precisely, not the whole of the Media but the particularly and famous CNN Media, has reported on the event,…

Who Praised the Killing of an Innocent Baby in Jerusalem? The Palestinian Authority did it!

The Palestinian authority's advisor to President Mahmoud Abbas praised it and the Palestinian authority official website confirmed it as one can see from the video they uploaded on their page (see picture here below), with the title in Arabic saying, Jerusalem martyr Abdul Rhaman available here on the page of the Ministry of Information from the State of Palestine and…See More

Hi Everyone,

write something about your own language in the forum, something about your country,

you are welcome to send me and your best friends a short email just saying Good Morning

Journalism in Israel and the Palestinian Territories is not an easy profession. I have left day-to-day journalism and work for a think tank, but I follow the local media closely, and had taught a course on "International Reporting" at a US university.

Journalists on both sides of the "Green Line" often face political, governmental, non-governmental, ideological, and social pressures that limit their freedom of movement, freedom to write, and even, their personal physical safety.

They are under tremendous pressure to present a "positive" spin on the news from their home territory. They face censorship - both overt and covert.

Journalism here is ideological; "objective" journalism is not practiced. In fact it is usually sneered at as being impossible or unworthy of being sought as a goal.

Hi Eliana. nice to meet you. I've been reading your blog posts. And I look forward to reading more. After a day of reporting court trials on a local scale, it is inspiring to read such insightful posts on a grand scale. Reiser du ofte til Norge fra Danmark? Jeg tenker å flytte til København neste år.
