- I intend to be part of an international network of journalists who are capable of discussing specific issues at a high level.
- Tell us a little bit about yourself
- Well, I’m just another homo sapiens sapiens lost in the middle of this crazy planet which dances the rhythm of this beautiful universe. Oh, yes, I'm also a science & environmental journalist. After having studied Social Communication in southern Brazil, I’m now studying Geography -- with emphasis on Environmental Analysis.
My work can be mainly seen in the Brazilian science magazine Ciência Hoje and on the British gateway Science & Development Network (SciDev.Net). Recently I’ve also been invited to join the Mada Foundation team, from Egypt, as a science & environment correspondent. Apart from that, I have worked for the Swedish television STV as a stringer (but that was just for fun).
Luckily enough, I’ve won four journalism awards in my country, as well as an academic award for my last research project about the media coverage of the Amazon rainforest. But c’mon, that’s just bureaucracy. I strongly feel that I am but a small piece trying to make sense in the vastness of the cosmos.
