On both sides of the communications barricades news agency reporting is often compared to producing commodities. At RIA Novosti top editors often use the phrase 'sausage factory' to illustrate our way of making newswires. There are two strong points in favor of such approach – consistency of content and balance of its accuracy.

Today’s editorial in Russia’s financial daily Vedomosti is about well-known bloggers that basically serve as citizen beacons by focusing on particular areas where the respective government agencies have been slow to act. All these bloggers are first of all activists that have dealt with the public service’s bureaucracy, incompetence, silence and blatant wrongdoing for many years.
The column mentions some of them together with functions of the…

Eliana van de Craats Lima said… Hi Valery, thanks again for your comment. You don't have to look for me on social networks.you can write to me directly if you want: vandecraatsuk@gmail.com
You will never see me on social networks as I rarely have time for that. After I finished my Master in International Business Law I went on studying to become a Translator and now I am busy trying to finish a Master in Business Communication. We can start a good communication now if you want, I think ECJ is a great channel. See you, Eliana
Eliana van de Craats Lima said… Hi Mr. Levchenko,
Don't be sorry, I am glad you have mentioned that so I have the opportunity to clarify that it is a misunderstanding from your side. I was not looking to be "your personal friend", I was trying to send you an email for educational and professional reasons. Unfortunately to send you an email I had to click on the buttom FRIENDS link. Doing so, I had no intention to become part of your private life or anything like that. Therefore, I am the one who has to apologise.
I make a clear distinction between social network friends such as FACEBOOK and MSN, where I meet my personal friends.
I think of EJC more as a professional kind of social media, therefore I am here, to be in contact with people who are seriously devoted to the profession, to share ideas, agree or disagree with things related to Journalism. I don't discriminate people and I assume everyone is decent until it's proven wrong. Therefore, anyone can be my friend. Having said that, I like to add that I am married and have two children, I don't smoke, I don't drink and I don't have any criminal records. Again, thanks for your time.
