The European Journalism Centre announces journalism grants for innovations in development reporting

Hold on to your hats everyone, I've got some good news:

 

The European Journalism Centre is proud to announce that it has received financial support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to advance journalistic coverage of issues related to global development and the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals. Explosion in Alexandria Egypt

A bomb has exploded outside a church in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria minutes after midnight on the New Year’s Eve, killing at least 21 and injuring 80. The event threatens to further enflame relations between Egyptian Muslims and the restive Christian Coptic community.
