The news, from the subjective kind

All around the world TV news are slowly becoming obsolete and are being replaced by internet news and online magazines. This is not the case however with Macedonia. A lot of people still live in remote villages that have no internet connections or people from older generations that just really never had the need to…

Is Macedonia facing another ethnic war!?

In this century of technological wonders and civilized societies you would think that images like these are a thing of the past and the only war is the one won through means of diplomacy and a lot of talking. It turns out that in my lovely country called Macedonia, things are not so civilized after all.

On…

Images of humanity

I was taking one of my regular walks this morning with my two dogs. It has gotten a bit colder now so our walks are getting shorter. As I came down to the big fountain in the middle of the street I noticed something on the stairs, it looked like a small black fur ball wrapped up around its tiny body.…

The same species

Europe is all about diversity and non-discrimination in any way. However, the problem arises when you have small traditional countries that don’t wish to change anything in their society and culture and want things to stay as they are, but still want to progress in the next century with those same beliefs. Ever… Continue

It's a colorful world

I have always lived in my birth country and despite all the problems we have here I simply can’t imagine myself living or wanting to live anywhere else. For me this small comfortable piece of land, no matter how hopeless it may seem it is sometimes, this is home. I don’t travel much, mainly because of the bad economic state that our society has been facing, well, ever since we became an independent country. Also because up until very recently we could not leave the country so easily…

If you go by bike

Recently I noticed that there is a huge difference between countries concerning transportation. My personal favorite is my bike, my feet or public transport in the winter. The thing that most people would say is, yes, I do not own a car because I have no money, but I do have a driving license I am just having…

What's in a name...

A very small, economically unstable and totally insignificant country that no one cares to recognize as a legit one, was quickly put on all the maps of the world under its own real name yesterday evening. Macedonia have always had people with the capacity to do… Continue

The NeverEnding story

I woke up feeling restless this morning. I could not sleep at all. There was something in the air still reminding me of my recent summer vacation. I had forgotten about my student loans, credit loans and borrowed money. I had nothing on my mind. A twenty something year old postgraduate student with nothing to do, with nothing on her mind. Going through my everyday ritual of morning coffee and internet news I came to realize that my empty brain is just an expression of my total and utter feeling… Continue

Innocent life lost by police brutality

Things happen in life that you can't stop. This is the sad truth. Hopefully once these awful things have happened we can and will do something to prevent them from recurring. I would like to tell you a story of a young boy. He was only 22 years old,  His name was Martin Neshkovski, he died on…
