20 IEDs, 365lbs of HME destroyed in Zharay, Maiwand

Zharay District, Afghanistan –Afghan National Security Forces and U.S. Soldiers found and destroyed 20 improvised explosive devices consisting of 365 lbs of homemade explosives, 16 pressure plates and 10 lbs of ammonium nitrate during operations May 25 in Zharay and Maiwand Districts, Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.
The devices and their components have been destroyed or collected to be used as evidence.
