PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has cited the presentating fifth provincial budge in a friendly atmosphere in the Khyber Pakhutnkhwa assembly as the success of political forces and termed it the sign of strengthening democratic system in the country.Talking to representatives of different media organizations here on Saturday, the Chief Minster thanked and congratulated the opposition of provincial assembly for their cooperation and support besides saying it went into the credit of the provincial government to present the fifth provincial budge in a sole democratic atmosphere.He said it was the constitutional right of opposition benches to object over the budge so that to guide the treasury benches to right direction if there were any objectionable things.To query regarding the opposition’s objection that it was a non-friendly people budge, he claimed that it was a tax-free budget neither any new tax had been implemented nor had any increase been made in the already implemented taxes.“For the first in history of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rs 12 billion rupees have been allocated for education sector of the province” he said. Besides the Bacha Khan Poverty Reduction scheme, Hunarmand Rozgar Scheme and Bacha Khan Khapal Rozgar Scheme had successfully been going-on so that to remove unemployment from the province, he added. “We are also going to launch a new scheme of Rs.1 billion from the new financial year under which the industrialists and businessmen of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be provided loans up-to Rs.50 million on seven percent interest-rate in order to boost business activities in the province”, he pointed out. He said this scheme would be called “SEED Money Scheme” and as per the scheme sixty-percent money would be provide by the government while forty-percent by the investor for setting up a factory or other business activity in the province.Mr. Hoti said that the provincial government had also allocated money in the budge for free-treatment of Cancer and Hepatitis patients besides facilities were also announced for farmers’ community of the province. Answering a question about the sever power crisis across the province, Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said that after adaptation of 18th constitutional amendment in the country electricity had become provincial subject and all provinces of the country were now autonomous to launch their own power generation projects.“We have launched Hydro Action Plan of over 2000 mega-watts under which three power generation schemes have been planed” he said, adding in this regard he had already inaugurated the first power production scheme at Daraal Khwar area while the second one at Maltaan area and the third scheme in Lavi locality of district Chitraal would formally be inaugurated in the next month of July in order overcome the power crisis.“We have allocated Rs.1 billion for the Laptop Scheme which will be distributed among 25000 talented students of Khyber Pakhtunkwha with the purpose to encourage and support them,” he said, adding that for the first time, the provincial government had upgraded 113000 teachers of the province from scales 5 and 6 to scale 12 for which the government had to provide Rs 1.5 billion so that to give them their appropriate and due status in the society as well as remove their inferiority complex.About the Dr Shakeel’s transfer from Peshawar jail, he said that the provincial had the capability to kept him behind the bars with foolproof security but his case was of different nature and due to presence of arrested terrorist-elements in the said imprisonment, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government requested the federal government to transfer him from here and keep him with herself in another appropriate facility.Earlier, the Chief Minister Ameer Hiader khan Hoti laid the foundation stones of different developmental projects in parts of Mardan city which included the constructions of boundary walls of graveyard and funeral prayer-place near the Mardan Sugar Mills and the construction-work of Nawabzada Mohammad Akbar Khan Government College for Management Sciences in the Sungi Marmar village.After inaugurating these developmental projects, the chief minister also addressed ANP public meetings which were attended by senator and former federal minister Azam Khan Hoti, MNA Himayat Ullah Mayar, the party district level key leaders and large number of activists.
