From the very beginning there were no mutual understanding between India and Bangladesh though their friendship is written in pen and paper. Although both of the countries are the member of the same organization named SAARC, there are many conflicts in political sector as well as in the economic sector. Here things happen in the backstage which is far away from the general peoples sight view. On the otherside, few politicians having better relation with Indian government are getting benefited in terms of economy.

The 80% of total border of Bangladesh is surrounded by Indian border. As Bangladesh is the underdog of India in terms of economy and size, ultimately they rule the border and their decision are given priority. After all of this positive attitude from Bangladesh, still many people are being killed every day in the border line. All of this people are poor and innocent, and for no reason they are being punished with death. According to International human rights group ‘Human Rights Watch’, in the year 2010 BSF killed 74 Bangladeshis, injured 72 and kidnapped 43 Bangladeshis. The average says every 4 days 1 person is getting killed by BSF in the borderline. 

All of these innocents were villagers who use to live close to border. But the high authority of India says they don’t have such orders to their border line for killing. In some point they added that they have no idea how this people are being killed in border and denied the whole fact. But the burning question is how BSF can shoot at innocent people without the authorization of higher authority?  Everyone knows that an army of a country cannot take a single step without the permission of its higher authority, so it is quite clear that, from where this killing decisions are coming from.

ON the other hand Bangladesh government has taken no step to this kind of violence in the border line. Instead of protesting such action from India, Bangladesh government has permitted India to make their own high-way through the country as well as many other facilities.

Few months back a very brutal incident happened in the borderline which had drawn both of the countries attention. A 15- year old poor girl named Felani was been tortured and killed in the day light and then hanged with barbed wire fence at Kurigram border by BSF on January 7 first. Her dead body was tangled in barbed wire around 4 hours. Then the Indian Security Force (BSF)'s jowans took away the body at 10:45 am. After 30 hours BSF handover the dead body to BGB (Border Guard Bangladesh) which is almost two days.

The story of Felani touched the hearts of millions both in Bangladesh and India. For the family of Nurul and Jahanara, the 25-year-long Indian chapter has been closed, probably forever. With Tk 3 lakh that the family received from the Bangladeshi authorities they now dream of a new future by the grave of their beloved daughter, Felani.

This is only a single story among hundreds. There are many of them getting killed every day. Now people started to feel that, there are many human rights are made but it is true that only few of them are followed. And soon these human rights will be overlooked in near future because we are no longer remaining human from inside.
