BUET student seriously injured in road accident in city

DHAKA, July 22: A student of BUET was seriously injured in a road accident in front of the National Press Club in
the city this afternoon.

   The injured is Shamima Nasrin, a second year student of Electric and Electronic Department of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

   Police said the accident occurred when a bus knocked her from behind in press club bus stand area, causing serious
injuries to her legs.


   Critically injured Shamima was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where doctors advised to shift her to National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) for better treatment.

   Shahbagh police arrested two staffers of the bus company and brought them to the thana.

   A case was filed in this connection with Shahbagh police station.
