Canada to continue climate assistance to Bangladesh

DHAKA, July 30: Canadian government would continue its cooperation on climate issues in Bangladesh.

Heather Cruden, Canadian high commissioner in Dhaka, said this while he called on Environment and Forest Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud at his secretariat office here today.

During the meeting, the high commissioner exchanged views on Bangladesh Climate Change Resilience Fund (BCCRF) about its activities and progress of implementation.

Bilateral ties between Bangladesh and Canada is excellent, the envoy said adding that his country would continue its assistance to Bangladesh on climate issues in future like the past.
