Peshawar :  A child was killed on Friday when a missile fired by militants from Afghanistan s Kunar Province hit a house in Tehsil Mamond of Bajaur Agency.

The child Ihtesham son of Noor Khan was critically injured when missile hit their house in Awesha area of Bajaur Agency. The child was rushed to Agency Headquarter Hospital Khar but he succumbed to injuries in hospital.

On other hand the militants attacked a security check post in Karakar area of Dir upper however the attacked was foiled. Strong retaliation from Pakistani forces resulted killing of six attackers, the security source said.

The local tribesmen were infuriated with the increasing attacks from Afghanistan side and they vowed to retaliate if similar attacks continued in future.
