I am living in multicultural country. Pakistan is known for possessing a very rich culture. What is the culture of the people of this country? Many people in the country quite often say "we must do that since it reflects the values of our culture. Similarly, on other occasions, they say owe must not do that because it violates the values of our culture.

The main features of the culture in Pakistan are safeguarding the honor and respect. Pakistan has four provinces with people having different culture. This diversity in culture has won worldwide.

appreciation. Punjab has its own culture, Sind has its own, Baluchistan has its own and the New Province Pakhtunkhawa has its own culture The diversity in culture brings forth the magnificence everywhere and where the smell of Henna attracts elderly women and young girls alike at marriage and other festivals .There girls could be seen dancing with Henna’s hand to the beat of drum on the advent of wedding party and especially in spring season when their colorful stoles and Duppatas could be seen floating in the air in sheer ecstasy as they swing under the oak trees among colorful blooming flowers.

The essen of my culture where the boys could be seen running behind the cutting kites on the streets as they fly in the air .The beautiful picture of ethnicity where old man sitting in his cart and busy with his tobacco pipe (Huqa or Shisha) and calling out loudly without loudspeaker to his son or daughter for helping. His daughter-in-law peeps with the half cover face with smiling eye behind the half open door.

where kids are running and playing hide and seek in the open streets, young boys playing cricket on the narrow streets and breaking windows of houses and automobiles, where people enjoy cock, quail and dog fighting. As sports are the real pastime and recreation for the majority of Pakistanis. Kabaddi and Kushti (indigenous wrestling), horse riding (specially tent pegging), polo, are some of the indigenous sports that are widely played all over Pakistan, but cock fighting ,dog fighting and quail fighting are special sports of old cites .

Folk dances are very popular all over the country in varying forms. Owing to the Islamic culture, mostly men take part in dances publicly; however female dancers too exhibit their skills in group dances and individual in the wedding parties and in special occasions. All four province have their dances and in every province have many small tribes those tribes have their own dances. Dances are "the beat of big drums and are normally related to harvest season (top right), like Dhol(drum), Shehnai (clairnet), sitar (three stringed instrument), sarod, alghoza (two wind piped flute) and flute are some of the widely used instruments.

Khattak dance of the Pukhtunkhawa province with great interest for audience. The dancers wear colourful dress for the occasion and dance around with rifles or swords in their hands like Arabs. The long hair of dancers, dangle freely behind their necks caress their shoulders their frills frocks look like blooming flowers as they move in circles. This also makes them a treat to watch when their feet hit the ground with full of force. They fire into air as they pick up pace. If they hold swords, they brandish the swords in the air again a symbol bravery of the people.
All this is done to show the courage of the natives of the provincebetter known as Pakhtoons. The Khattak dance also narrates the history of Pakhtoons and Arabs. They have fought against many invaders and in khattak dance they express their joy over victories attained by them.People of Pakhtunkhawa wear weapon as jewelry and that are the honor of males in this province without weapon they never come out from their homes but they use this weapon for their protection not for killing the people.

The tune played during the khattak dance also spurs people to show courage .This dance also known as a sword dance has won appreciation from foreign visitors to Pakistan.

The Klash tribe who dwell in Chitral, part of the new Province Khyber Pakhtunkhawa is also a source of great attraction for people from abroad.

The Klash are descendants of Greek soldiers who came to this part of the world with Alexander the Great. What made them famous was that while living in Pakistan they still follow many traditions of Greek culture. This distinguishes them from other Pakistanis but it also provides them a chance to oursue their centuries old culture.

As you travel towards Punjab from the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa province, you pass by many historic places. Some of these date back to hundreds of years. It could rightly be called here as one of the wonders of the national culture. Panja Sahiba one of the holiest sites in Sikhdom is located here. Thousands of Sikhs come from all over the world to perform religious rites. Though not large in size, it too has great historic and cultural importance.

Luddi dance and Bhangra are very popular with all sections of people in the Punjab province Men women and children, all perform this popular dance with great enthusiasm. People perform Luddi and Bhangra to celebrate marriage and other festivals.

As in happy occasion Jhoomar and Hay Jamalo are popular dances in the Sindh province where people feel very proud of their culture. It depicts the values as pursued by people of the province over the last many centuries.

It may be stated here that some of these traditions are so precious the culture here is different from area to area.

During this very long period, history was written and rewritten. The people were compelled to think about their future and this also kept changing their priorities and hence it also had effect on the culture. History in fact has left its deep mark on the culture of Pakistan. It would be correct to say that the history had dictated its terms to the culture of the land.

It is on account of history that different forms of culture could be found in Pakistan at different places each province has a distinct culture of its own. The people take pride in culture of their respective provinces. It does not mean in any sense that they stand divided over the matter. Rather this diversity in culture is a source of strength and pride of the people of Pakistan

Thus the culture of Pakistan is most dear to the people and many of its qualities are held in the highest esteem.

The people of Pakistan celebrate all Holly events like Arabic and other religious of other countries in a year as well. The people go to Mosques, Churches, Tombs and temples for these Holly events.

The people throughout the length and the breadth of the country celebrate these holidays with great festivity. They wear best and new dress for the occasions. It could be said that these festivals are among the most features of our culture.

Our culture is full of love where lovers die for each other and sacrifice their lives for their beloved .Our land is full of love stories where many lovers lie buried in the same grave but still live in the hearts, fables and songs of people.

Some famous lovers whose stories are passed on from generation to generation are HeerRanja, SooniMahiwal, SasiPuno, SahibaMirza. Their love stories ended in tragedy. Some of them were killed by their rivals.

Women in Pakistan are now found working in all organizations and in the National Assembly. This was not the case till a few decades ago. The participation of women in social life has changed the attitude of people.

Prior to this change, women were not considered as equal to men. But now when women have become bosses or colleagues the matters have to be different.

Women fashion shows unknown in the past have now become a main feature of social life in Pakistan. This has changed the trend of dress. Now every now and then or should it be said sooner than later we see people, especially women wearing those dresses which was never witnessed in the past.

But it does not mean old habits have ceased to exist. Many women still wear burqas to completely cover their faces. This has drawn criticism in some European countries but many Muslim women have refused to give it up.

The other new trend is that of wearing of headscarf by women. Though criticized in many Western countries, women in ever increasing number wear headscarf in Pakistan.

It is stated that the freedom of expression is very important in expression of culture. This is important because culture cannot develop if it does have freedom.

The advent of each day brings new hopes for the people and this in certain cases gradually changes the outlook and the habits of the people. As a result after the passage of time, new culture emerges on the scene.

But some external influence and terrorist elements shattered these colors of my culture and smashed our freedom of happiness with their terrorist activates suicide blast and drone attacks since few years.
