Independence Day of Pakistan 14 August, Moterway Police Pakistan

National Highways and Motorways Police Sector M-1 celebrates independence day here at main motorway toll plaza Peshawar (KP) under the supervision of sector commander M-1 SSP nMuhammad Tahir Khan. At Toll Plaza SSP and his team wel come commuters and distributed Pakistani Flags and Sweets to kids too. Taking to media persons SSP said the Independence Day of Pakistan (Urdu: یوم آزادی; translated as Youm-e-Azadi), the day on which Pakistan came into existence, the British rule ended and Pakistan was declared a sovereign nation. Pakistan came into existence following the Pakistan movement which aimed for creation of an independent Muslim state by partition of the north-western region of the Indian subcontinent and was led by All-India Muslim League under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The event occurred with the partition of India wherein the British Indian Empire was divided into two new nations.

           

            People all over Pakistan celebrate Independence Day with patriotic zest and we are part of those celebrities all over Pakistan, if we see our flag it had two portions, Green and white, these are Pakistan’s official colors. White represents peace while green symbolizes prosperity and good fortune.

 

            Sector commander M-1 SSP Muhammad Tahir Khan, who himself took an active part in the campaign and distributed flags sweets and flowers amongst the kids, who were travelling on Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway along with their parents, they (kids) support and celebrate the event,  said “This is a wonderful way to celebrate the independence day, making the nation realize that despite our current national challenges, we are one nation and we should unite for a better and more progressive Pakistan”. SSP Tahir assured that his department was always at service for its people and said that the success of all public services lies in joint efforts, mutual understanding and respect.

 

            Thousands of travelers enjoyed the celebration and were keen on seeing the police fully involved and appreciated the friendly gesture and approach of the interaction.Many travelers praised NH&MP role in making the Independence Day special for them and hoped to see such initiatives in the future as well.
