Southeast Asia and ASEAN (DASE) reaffirmed the strong Singapore-EU ties and looked forward to the conclusion of the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA) and the EU-Singapore Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (ESPCA). The EUSFTA and the ESPCA would also pave the way to greater Asean-EU engagement, said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The reaffirmation was made during the meeting with Singapore's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law, K Shanmugam, who hosted lunch for a seven-member delegation here today. The delegation, led by Chairman Werner Langen MEP (Germany, European People’s Party) has been here at the invitation of Singapore Parliament from May 1.
