Mian Raashid Shaheed Campus 314 kanal land approved for Abdul Wali Khan varsity

PESHAWAR (APP): The khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain has approved acquiring 314 kanal of lands for the construction of Mian Raashid Shaheed Campus of  Abdul Wali Khan University in Pabbi tehsil of Nowshera District.The Information Minister directed the concerned quarters for completing all the necessary requirements to this effect at the earliest so that project could be implemented well in time. He issued these directives at a meeting he chaired about setting up of Mian Raashid Shaheed Campus here on Saturday.He also directed the relevant quarters to acquire additional lands for the future need of the campus when it is likely to be converted into full fledge university. The campus would prove to be a beacon light in the promotion of quality education in the province, he added. It's the government policy to convert all the campuses in the districts to the level of university in future, he explained.Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that progress and development sans education was not possible, that is why the present government in KP was concentrating on the promotion of education sector. The ANP Government, he claimed setup eight universities, nine campuses, dozens of colleges and other educational institutes during last four years which has no precedence in the last 64 years.
