Oil: Race against time in the Arctic

I'm currently in Trondheim in northern Norway, where I've been following a conference about oil spill response, especially looking at Arctic waters. Climate change is affecting the Arctic so fast, the race is on to exploit the oil and gas previously unaccessible because of ice. Dealing with an oil accident in these remote areas and extreme weather conditions - and with a very fragile ecosystem -. is a huge challenge. I've written more on my Ice Blog
