Teaching Innovation: Do we need to develop competency in innovation for Innovation Union to Succeed?

Do journalists need be innovative? How can innovation competency help journalists?

For me it is amazing to see creative side of people, everyone is special! I am always surprised with what people come up with given some training, encouragement and the opportunity.

I have been following EU Directive(s) for innovation strategy, STEM education and infrastructure. We already have millions of highly qualified, educated, trained and experienced professionals but still not enough innovation. STEM is good for developing the left-hemisphere of the brain. We need to develop the right side of the brain as well. Something different than STEM must be pursued to see different results.

I recommend to educate students and professionals in innovation. This is a new science that must be learned and practiced rigorously for utilizing full brain in knowledge age. Countries like Greece, Spain and Portugal are only leading economic indicators of things to come if innovation is not seriously  pursued.

I would be interested in hearing views about adding education in innovation in order for Innovation Union to succeed
